Historical Photo of the Week - Women's Debate Team, 1914

While searching for an image of Ila Grindell for an article in Towers Magazine, I discovered this image. It is a postcard that was sent to "Mrs. Penick" from Myrtle Winterhalter, class of 1915. She wrote:
"This is the Anti-suffrage Team for the season of 1914. Won unanimously from Pittsburg [sic] men. First debate of men and women known in any college of the U.S. Reading from left to right are Mildred Cook Alt. [class of 1914], Myrtle Winterhalter, Ila Grindell [class of 1914] and Lucy Snyder [unknown]. Won May 11, 1914. Full House. Best Crowd ever seen at a debate. I am the 10th girl to join Oratory O."
